Re(5): One day only: FREE POSTING (anyone)!

The problem I have with Magic City is not so much the short court but the skill set of most of the players. For someone like yourself that used to play on the Tampa cancha there is no comparison to playing with the speed of a real pelota on a full size court. It takes years of practice to become proficient enough to play at the high level player's possess like on Dania's roster. Magic City decided that ex UM athletes could become professional players with little to no instruction or years of practice to hone their skills. This idea is ludicrous. All this does it give any and all players that starting playing jai alai at a young age a black eye. You can't teach a 35 year old proper jai alai form. That is achieved by starting when your 8-10 years old and practicing for hours every day for years. How do you think this makes real professional player's feel, especially when they make less money to play at a much higher level than the subpar roster at Magic City makes. For years Miami Jai Alai had the best players in the world. Can Magic City make the same claim? I think not. It's sham jai alai being played there by players that haven't the form, or skill set required to play or be paid as a professional player.
