Stardust.

His nickname infuriates her. Her ears knit tighter to the tender flesh of her neck and her eyes flash with defiance. She throws more weight into every powerful stride as they thunder down the beach. Her legs reach out further in an attempt to out run the devil. As he comes up along side of her, she knows that there is only once choice.

She plunges into the sea. The water is cool against her painted skin as she pushes herself deeper and deeper into the surf. Her heart hammers wildly against her ribs and her breath is caught in her throat. It does not take long for her to feel his hot breath on her skin. She swims desperately away from him, but he is quick to block her escape with every move that she makes. She strikes out despite the scream of protest from every muscle in her body.

It does not take long for them to reach the sparkling shores of Atlantis. She stumbles through the frothy surf and her legs shake beneath the weight of her body. She sucks in a breath before she wills her numb legs to move. In a single swift motion she pivots to face her attacker. Her mane clings to the curve of her neck and against her forehead as she defiantly raises her head.

"What in the hell do you want from me?" she spits between barred teeth. Her bicolored eyes narrow - one crystal blue the other dark brown - as she glowers at the beast who strides from the sea's embrace.
