Col, If I remember correctly when we were to receive our brevets, (Crazy Horse insisted that we have the little brevet parade on time and was not going to wait for the grocers) L group did not have any of the L brevets available and were on order so Ace organized for us to receive the E brevet with the stitching of the top and middle horizontal bars removed so that the E was modified to an L. I still have mine. On another note at an Antique shop in Lismore I spotted a silver L brevet but it was only about half size to mine and was very much out proportion in its make up. The owner swore that it was original but when I showed him mine my brevet he went rather quite. Replies:
