Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Though he was glad to get the little mare going, waiting on her was hard. He understood she was in pain and his impatience was carefully hidden behind a mask of concern as he would stop and glance back at her every other stride. Tyr was sure that the Teke stallion’s presence in the Commons had been the cause for his irritation rather than the mare, and although he wouldn’t have minded the confrontation, he would prefer to get the little mare back to the Lagoon instead. Thankfully there had been no argument from her.

As they finally crossed the invisible line that made up his home, tension relaxed in Tyr’s broad shoulders. The scent of his brothers gave him comfort, knowing that should the Teke decide to follow them, that decision would now be made in greater error. The sound of the little mare’s voice broke the giant stallion’s thoughts and he again glanced back at her, slowing his stride so that she could now pace herself at his flank rather than behind.

“My name is Tyr.” he replied, his closest ear curving towards her as the other flicked out to their surroundings and then cupped forward. “This is the Lagoon. Home to a brotherhood.” The golden stallion explained, coming to a stop now that he felt they were far enough within the border. “There is not many that live here, but I hope that changes.” the stallion’s deep tones rumble as he glances to the trees around them before his multi-colored gaze settles on her. “I don’t believe I caught your name either.” he said, his words paired with a crooked smile. She had been too startled upon the beach to ever think about giving him a name.
