He meant to keep pace with her mostly, not wanting to run her to death since he could run for hours on end but didn't know if she was built for that or not. Her laughter was easy enough to follow, though. He kept one blue eye on the pretty mare as they dodged around trees and the like in the herd. His nostrils flared, smelling other horses but wondering if any would catch up to them in this race they'd begun. When the mare began to slow up, Kamekaze drew up his own pace, circling back to her since he didn't want to lose her. He gave an answering nicker as soon as she whinnied to let her know he was already on his way back, not wanting her to think he would just abandon her. At her cheeky smile, he slowed up and gave a shake of his mane. "Naw, I'm just more used to chasing the ladies." He gave a teasing smirk but his eyes were soft. He watched her lean against the tree as she tried to catch her breath, taking the moment to look around some more. At her compliment, he looked back at her with a flirty twinkle in his eyes. "Thanks. I try to tell everyone that but no one seems to listen." When she mentioned wanting to see his home, he perked up and nodded. "Of course. I'd love to show you the Badlands. I promise they're not as bad as the title sounds." She mentioned a mare and stallion getting together and he tilted his head in curiosity. "So you...want to be with me?" He hated how almost desperate he sounded. He'd been rejected so much that it had started to tell on his confidence, even though he put up a good face. Hope lifted in his chest at the idea that perhaps he'd finally found a mare that found his company at least tolerable. She admitted she wasn't bored hanging out with him and he grinned again, his eyes glittering once more. "I aim to please."
