The below-linked USNI News article indiicates that the Navy will scrap the USS BONHOMME RICHARD (LHD-6), rather than attempt to repair it after its having burned for five days.

(To me, the biggest question that needs to be asked in the ongoing investigation is--Why did it take five days to put out a fire burning in a ship tied up alongside the pier?)
