HOW WELL HE WEARS THAT SMILE MINGLED WITH WRATH
               Perhaps with Allegra she can relax? Perhaps this smiling face can make her forget him - the man who was forgetting them both in some foreign country with yet another girl. The blaring silence of her mind simmers down, a small wisp of self coming back into being - stepping from the flames of aimless hate and rage to create a soothing balm in a tiny corner of her brain. She sees salvation in this girls small outreach, seeing abandonment scars and a craving to simply not be alone anymore. It is a subconscious acknowledgement - but for only the second time in Emery‘s life, something clicks into place and Allegra becomes a face and not just a meaningless word. She establishes herself a foothold and Emery thanks Gael for finding just one more way to fix her. She wonders how this fix will break her later, how this will go wrong as all his mending had done in the past. She wonders, but Allegra pulls her out of her own head with her tuts and grin.

               She smirks, huffing at tbe exchange, realizing just how out of place she felt - a boy with this girl. It was different than with Ivet - not as though she ought to be in this shape. As if shape did not matter. Platonic, some say, does not exist. Some would argue it is lack of attraction… but looking at Allegra, we all know that is a perfectly blind lie. She is feminine in all the ways even Emery had not been in her other body. Figure complimented with chest and hips, soft and lean. Emery was closer to Ivet, but positively amazing at spanning the gap between Gael‘s love and his lover. The proximity between the girl and herself is comfortable, made so by mutual disregard for the social norm. Emery leans her forehead forward to rub her pinned hand against her brow as Allegra explains the connection between herself and Gael with ease. “Wasn‘t asking so much as commenting, I suppose.” Her strong, muscular, shoulders shrug, .
