PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

*~My Next Collison Course~*

one hundred miles an hour...

The biggest smile pulled at his lips as the overo stallion listened with rapt attention to every detail that fell from Isabella's lips. He could listen to her for hours, days even. His eyes glittered with affection, knowing that she didn't hold his blood in her veins but even so, he would never hesitate to stand between her and danger if it ever came down to it. He had grown quite fond of the filly when he was here last and he was glad to see she still thought of him as well. She mentioned a friend, Jay, and Collision's ears flicked toward Rhadra in question, sure that she might have more to add. "I'll have to meet this Jay, then. I have to see this swimming for myself." At the sudden look that passed between mother and daughter, Collision tilted his head a little in puzzlement. The sudden tension was not the usual between them. Isabella mentioned that she met some other foals and Collision dipped his head in acknowledgement, sure that Rhadra felt the same. "I'm glad to hear it. Sounds like you've been quite popular. Just don't go collecting so many that you have to forget my name to keep up with all your friends' names." He teased her playfully, though only pure joy glittered in his dark eyes.

As Rhadra stepped closer, he sighed in contentment, taking comfort from her close presence. He'd missed it more than even he thought after all the action and constant motion. His skin twitched at the close attention the black mare was paying his wounds but he held his ground, knowing he would have to explain soon enough. When he said Cullen's name, she repeated it with no familiarity and he reminded him that the Lagoon stallion probably never said his name around all the raiding he was attempting. Just the idea made the painted stallion's blood boil again with anger but he stamped it down, not wanting to scare Isabella or Rhadra with his temper. They'd never seen him angry before and he didn't want to mess that up now.

She asked about the Lagoon and he nodded. "Yes, he was the leader." He noted the rising tension between mother and daughter again and scowled, knowing his mention of the Lagoon was probably what caused it this time. But he would have to get it out sooner or later. He was just hoping to maybe wait until Isabella wasn't around in case she was around when he was here. Rhadra admitted that they found Jay lost by the creek and Collision scowled. He assumed the boy must be young then, close to Isabella's age, for them to be playmates. "Sounds like it's a good thing he found the best two mares in all of the Peak, then." He smiled in assurance as he looked between them.

The sudden display of emotion from Isabella was unexpected, but he watched her closely as she shouted out about Jay being a better swimmer and bolted off, saying she'd find him. Collision snorted softly as he watched her, ever protective of the younger mare, but he turned his soft gaze on Rhadra, wondering how she was taking it. Her next words gave him more answers. His brows furrowed as he listened to her talk about the raid. So they had come for Izzy and Rhadra. His jaw clenched with anger at the thought of Cullen touching her and he had to look away for a minute to compose himself cause he knew it was showing in his eyes. She explained that Jay tried to help with the Peak warriors who came to stop them and explained he was protective over Izzy. That made Collision smile as he turned his gaze back to her, having calmed himself down a little.

"Sounds like he's good to have around. I can't wait to meet him." He paused, searching her expression with concern before he spoke again. "I told Cullen I wasn't coming back to the Lagoon. Needless to say, he didn't take it well." He pointed his muzzle toward one of his wounds in answer. With a soft sigh, he looked again at her. "I noticed a familiar scent on him when I was talking to him and asked about it. He was one of the stallions who came here. I smelled you and Izzy on him. Don't worry, I gave as good as I got." He gave a light smirk, hoping to ease some of her worry. Maybe if she knew one of the stallions who tried to take her and her daughter had some new wounds, it would help somewhat.

His face sobered again though, his eyes turning apologetic as he met her gaze. "I'm so sorry I wasn't here to protect you and Izzy. I never would have forgiven myself if he'd succeeded in taking you...." His ears flicked back at the very thought. When she spoke of Izzy and how she'd been since the raid, his ears pricked again to listen but his heart fell. So it was traumatic for her. He let out a breath. "Well, I know it'll take time, but I've got plenty so let's see what we can do for her." He smiled, hoping his words would reassure her that he was here now and wasn't planning on leaving any time soon. Izzy needed him.

As her shoulder touched his own, he smiled and reached over to tug at her mane gently. She told him she was glad he was back and even hinted that she'd missed him. His chest tightened at the idea and his eyes glittered with joy as he added a nuzzle to her neck for good measure. "I missed you, too, Rhadra." He whispered.
