Re(1): Operation:Stormwatch Pre-Empts Toby Tobin Show

Actually, radio stations take their weather coverage far too seriously. They have insufficient staff to do anything beyond rebroadcast NWS watches and warnings.

Round robin handoffs of a half dozen spot locations from the ground is only imagery of coverage.

Only a TV station with a copter and experienced weather reporter on board like 9's can provide actual coverage.

A talk show programmer for a Saturday morning show should let Toby continue but break in every few minutes to repeat the watches or warnings BRIEFLY, unless there is an on the ground sighting and they have specifics.

I think most Kansas Citians know TV is their most important source, and they have already decided who has the most lifesaving coverage. Don't know what channel it is but its spelled KMBCTV9.
