It's all pretty simple, and I'm 100% positive Scott Savin is exactly correct when he states they didn't have to have Jai-Alai to remain in business.
Magic City had a casino and greyhound racing (Flagler dog track). Because greyhound racing was banned in FL as of Dec 31, 2020, if you had only a greyhound track with an existing casino, the state of FL was NOT going to make you close your casino....
Magic City decided to convert their greyhound license to an open Jai-alai permit that existed. They did NOT have to do that to remain in business as Magic City Casino. Replies:
