That being the case, let's push it a little further.
Those figures were according to theory, but what about reality?
A little code to inspect singles games for the most recent or ongoing meets reveals:
Dania - 4 flavors of singles games - NO duplicates whatsoever.
Magic City - out of 1,163 games played, only 3 game lineups were later repeated.
Miami - thru this Monday eve, 528 games played, and 7 pairs of duplicates.
The reason that number for Miami is so high is that for Dec 13 eve, apparently they did a copy and paste of the first 5 games from the Friday Dec 11 eve perf 2 days earlier. As opposed to the expected random draw.
Conclusion - overall, duplicate singles games are scarce. Replies:
