Feray was back at home (as was everyone else) so he felt comfortable enough to leave the Badlands to seek out Nova’s son. The mare had once told him he didn’t need to save him, but he felt so guilty about separating them. He didn’t want to go against her decision to keep her child in the Lagoon, but he also couldn’t sit around and do nothing. He saw how much pain was in the mare’s eyes. He saw how good she was with Brach and he knew she shared that some love for her older palomino colt. He wanted to reunite them or at least let the boy know how Nova felt about him. He assumes Nova’s heart ache for her child just as any mother’s would.

The only issue was the Lagoon. It was enemy territory, but it has been over a year since their fight. Maybe they wouldn’t even remember him. Roheryn proceeds into the Lagoon cautiously, avoided the small gathering of stallions to his right. He does not wish any of them to see him, but he does hope to find the young palomino he was seeking. Roheryn wasn’t sure he would recognize him after the pass of seasons, but he prays finding him wouldn’t be too difficult. Roheryn continues to look, but he doesn’t have to look far before someone else catches his attention. His ears perk straight up as he sees a young stallion energetically challenging a root ripped from the ground. He prays the Lagoon had not made him too wild. As the young palomino charges down the incline, Roheryn calls to him. He tries not to be too loud to alert anyone else, but he does canter after the young male down the hill.

Roheryn slows the closer he gets to the colt with his eyes focused on the colt. ”Hey, I have a question.” There was no hesitation as he speaks to the colt. He knows this could very well be Nova’s son so he wastes no time in finding out. ”Do you happen to be the son of Nova?” He had no idea who the son’s father was, but looking at him gave away some characteristics of his mare.
