The 'Seasonal Pause' and what it's all about

We all know that 2020 was an incredibly difficult year for just about everybody. However, several in-game seasons still passed by here at Lunar Children and on top of everything going on in the world, many of us have found it difficult to make time (or muster the muse!) to post and keep up with our characters. Unfortunately, this means our characters have aged, but we haven't had an opportunity to play out those valuable in-game years.


So, what's happening?!

For the time being, a Seasonal Pause will be in place. It's fairly straight forward -- it's spring now, and it won't stop being spring until we, as players, decide it's an appropriate time to jump forward to summer and continue seasons like usual. This will give us all a chance to catch up on time we've missed in-game without having to worry about age-related deadlines.

With few characters below the age of three, this will hopefully not impact too many other planned plots, such as leadership scuffles and the likes.

But my character was already old...

Don't sweat it! There are a few characters who 'aged up' to twenty-five last spring. However, as a sort of gracing period, they've continued to be aged to twenty-six this spring. They will, unfortunately, have to pass on by the time summer rolls around but in the meantime, they can enjoy living out their final year as it was meant to be.

Once the Seasonal Pause is over, characters will once again only be able to 'age up' to twenty-five, where they'll have to pass sometime during that spring.

Will my characters realize?

Well, no, not really. At least, they won't recognize that spring is going for a longer period of time. However, characters who are twenty-six will likely realize that 'hey! I've got an extra year!,' as will their relatives. So...let them enjoy that! Otherwise, time will seemingly pass as usual in-character.
