breaking the bad BLOCK

Now that he was an associate in the Lagoon, it was time to start proving himself. With spring in the air, he turned toward the Crossing, ready to see what trouble he could cause. His green eyes gleamed with mischief as he ventuured toward the borders that led into the Common. As he galloped along, he wondered vaguely what his parents might be up to. He hadn't seen them since he left them the last time to join the Lagoon. Not that he expected them to be proud of him or anything. His mother was a proud mare and she rejoiced in her freedom of choice, something he didn't think the Lagoon was all that privy to with mares. And his father was always the gentleman. He worshipped the ground Talien walked on and wouldn't hear of anyone telling her what to do.

In fact, Chronos was pretty sure the only thing he got from his father that could help him in the Lagoon was his fiery temper and his possessive spirit. Dex wasn't too proud to tell him the stories of how he'd see red when certain things happen. He'd black out and hurt other horses. He told Chronos in the slim chance that it was something hereditary, though Chronos was almost starting to wish he DID inherit it. He thought it would be cool to turn all badass on the flip of a switch. But of course, he had yet to try it out, see what his triggers were.

As he patrolled the Common, it didn't take him too long to hear the squeal and find two mares. The first was a brown barb mare with fire in her eyes. She looked mighty pissed about something and wanted to take it out on the world. Chronos felt his lips tug into a smirk, his tail lifting at the challenge set before him. Accepted. The squeal came from another chocolate coated mare who ran at the first like she was on a mission. She nipped at the barb mare and purred some sugar coated sweetness, trying to steer her toward the water. Well, not today. With a toss of his head, the golden stallion reared up with a squeal of his own and took off toward both of them. His green eyes gleamed as he pinned his ears flat and snaked out his neck, aiming to steer right in between the two females. He aimed his back hooves at the petite chocolate mare as he swung around, snorting as he arched his neck and threw his head around, biting at her if she still tried to come close.

"Sorry, sweetness, but demons are reserved for hell and she needs some testosterone in her life. Your precious Aranck can't handle a warrior." He turned his gaze on the barb then, tilting his head at her in curiosity as he pranced closer, daring her to make a move. "Anger is good. Want to talk about it? Or we can just duke it out, if you'd rather act."
