When he heard the hoof beats of another joining him, Carbon could only grin in ecstacy, always happy to have company. As his head turned, he was even more joyous to see the smaller figure of his brother, Ahimsa. He heard about him from Cain when he came back from the Prairie. His father has seemed so proud to know he had another son and said he was going to be great, just like all his sons. Carbon often wondered if he would ever get to meet this brother and was glad when Cain told him Ahimsa would be coming to join them soon. When he saw the multi-toned colt running toward him, he looked exactly as Cain had described him. Carbon tossed his head with bright brown eyes. "Brother! Come, run with me!" He sent out the invitation as he kicked out his back hooves and laughed. But the moment his brother's figure disappeared from his peripheral vision, the large black colt slowed his pace and circled around. He saw the aftermath of his brother's fall, skidding to a halt in the deep sand as the other colt coughed. "Are you okay?" It seemed the obvious thing to ask. As he looked over the slender male's body, he didn't see obvious wounds or smell fresh blood, but he still needed to know from his mouth, as well. Ahimsa finally stood and came to him, telling him how different it was here than the Prairie. Carbon dipped his head in acknowledgement as he looked around at the golden sand dunes. "Yes, it is very different, but it will cushion your fall every time. Soon enough, you'll be as agile as the pronghorns and wild hares that race across the dunes. Just you wait." He exclaimed with certainty, his lips tugging into a genuine smile as he reached out to exchange breaths. "It's nice to officially meet you, Ahimsa. I'm sure you already know but I'm Carbon.
