Desert

The soft call got his attention as he wandered and the bay dun stallion turned his head to set eyes on the pretty mare. He couldn't say he knew her name or much about her, but he thought he remembered seeing her when he was living here before. Either way, she seemed amiable to conversation and he was eager to get to know the Desert herd again now that he was home. Home. The tobiano looked around with brown gold eyes like his mother and smiled. Yes, Salem would probably always be considered home to him. Maybe he wouldn't stay here forever to live out his days, but he knew he would always think of the Desert with the fondest memories.

When the mare got closer, she extended her muzzle and Akello smiled as he mimicked the gesture, exchanging breaths with her before he pulled back with a welcoming smile. She asked if he was a son of Cain and he nodded, ears pricked as she gave her name: Chimeras. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Chimeras. I am Akello, the first son of Cain and Vihaan. I recently returned from a visit to the Prairie. I went to see my mother and her side of the family." He had no qualms in opening up and telling her everything.
