It has been decided that the 2021 Airman Aircrew Reunion, scheduled for the 01/02 October 2021 at Maroochydore, will not go ahead.
There are several reasons which are mostly associated with the uncertainty of COVID and its restrictions. As can be understood, considerable preparation is needed to set-up the reunion which could be in vain if the situation should change. As we saw a month ago with the COVID spread in Brisbane, the change was sudden. Best to cancel now then half-way through the preparation or at its end. Furthermore, it is uncertain how the vaccination roll-out will progress and its effectiveness.
Hoping for a reunion next year but will not make a commitment just yet. Meanwhile, if anyone else would like to run with a reunion elsewhere this year, please feel-free to do so.
