ACTUALLY KCPL/KG&E built one of the last Nucplants in the country down I-35 at Burlington exit.
Power companies build their capacity for normal summer use and have power sharing agreements. This cold spell across much of the country is an outlyer. You couldn't afford to have standby power for a twice a century cold spell like this.
Me things you WHINE too much. Even rolling outages are no big deal. Got candles? Warm clothes? Did you eat early? IF they shut us down we wont even know it except in the morning yoru electric clock radio will be blinking.
So take your whiney ass and go to school so at middle age you'll have enough money to support your kids and not be standing outside int he cold when you can't get a job at W*O*L*D Music of your Life for th Geritol for LUnch bunch!
