you hesitated and I don't know why

Between the siblings, in Hyacinth’s own opinion really, her brother Jaskier had the looks and the charm, a certain wit about him that made him much more approachable than that of his sister. Hyacinth only ever made time for her family, the very thought of someone attempting to woo and please her keeping her far from the opposite sex to spare her own headache; jaskier was enough of one to begin with. So when the dashing, honestly all men to her looked like annoying little pricks, but she was trying to be nice for the young male’s sake so far who was bold enough to prance her way on hurried steps. Why did everyone seem to be in such a big hurry around this place?

The grass she is brooding over is long forgotten, the boy sidling up to her, and much to her disgust and disbelief fancies himself a tender nip to her hip. The fury in her eyes grows more and she rears back her head to glare down at him, because that was where he would stay; below her. “Call me sunshine one more time and you’ll be praying to see the light again,” she snarls at him, swinging her hip well away from his reach and extending her neck out to snap at the air she has put between them in defiance to his words. Like hell would she go anywhere with someone as pushy as him. Why not ask about her day and her travels? No, they go straight for the flesh as if bites here and there would push her to where they wanted to go. Thundering hooves give way to another approaching from, yet another fudging male; her irritation is evident in the way her ears lace themselves back into her mop of hair, and a hoof strikes the ground with a thud. The new comer was older, shorter than she still, but he was fine boned and had eyes much like her own blue hues rimmed in black. He roused a bit of interest in her, but in the end these men were all the same.

He berates the younger stallion though, and while her mouth opens to deliver her own sharp tongued answer that she can fight her own bottles, his words somehow succeed in shutting her up for the moment and actually listening. Flattery, once upon a time ago, would have done wonders in swaying her harsh opinion that was set in stone; all it did now was build onto the heat that bubbles just under her skin. “You men,” she steals them both within her sharp gaze, head turning from one to the other, settling on staring into the face of the curly eared one as he spoke with more sense than the other, “always so quick to whisk a woman away to who knows where. What if I don't want to go with either of you? My brother is who I'm looking for and neither one of you are him.” Even still she wants her sibling, looking for him now beyond the pair of men vying for her attention to bring her home.

“You're a tempting man Kahjiit,” she chuckles to herself, pulling her wayward gaze back to the group and leveling her doe eyes on him and then back to the boy, whose name she has yet to learn. “What of you little one,” she is teasing, taking steps towards and around him with a teasing nose outstretched to further prod the boy knowing he’d more than likely snap back, but with Khajiit there and watching what harm could he really do with an audience?

“What can you offer this poor little damsel in distress?,” her legs carry herself around him, the eye roll she gives hidden from sight but she sends Khajiit a little wink in common humour he would no doubt share with her; he seemed to be a sensible man indeed. “Maybe we both cut our losses and see what this kitty has to offer us”.
