In my name shall they cast out demons Akela

Mother I am here,
I can hear your song

Your post here.

"Mother! Sakura!" She calls as she searches through the jungle. Her mother had said she would be back after giving Rougaru a stern talking to, but she never returned. The young mare had been afraid something bad happened to her mother after nightfall had passed. She knew something bad had happened now that weeks have passed.

Bathsheba had been instructed to look after Sakura, but now even her younger sister had gone away. She awoke sometime during the summer to find the filly gone. She searched the Harbor for her, but there was only the scents of the new mare and her son. She thought maybe Sakura had gone to Paradise to search for their mother, but she never came back. Depression drove her into a endless cycle of sleepless nights until she finally crashed.

After over an entire month of mother being gone, and weeks of her sister being missing, she began a more broad search. Why had she not done this sooner? Something in the back of her brain was afraid to see something that would make this all more real. Bathsheba yells their names until a slim figure emerges from the foliage. "Sister!" Bath runs to embrace her older sister Acalia who looks at her with somber eyes. They nuzzle each other until Bath begins spitting out all her concerns and worries.

A loud sigh leaves Acalia as she takes a few steps back. "I have not seen Sakura, but our mother is gone. She passed away giving birth to our newest sibling. I had no idea you were waiting for her return." The guilt was evident on Acalia's face. The scream of heartbreak that came from Bathsheba could be heard for miles. Acalia whinces at the sound before wrapping her next around her smokey grulla sibling. "Shh it will be okay. I am here." It was hard not only to lose their mother, but not knowing what happened to her closest sibling was rough. Sakura had been her best friend.

"If you want to live here with me and your neice you are more than welcome. I'm sure Rougaru won't mind." Acalia tries to calm her down by letting her know she would be there for her. At the mention of Rougaru, Bathsheba pulls away. "I never want to live with him! He is the reason mom is dead! He was so horrid to her. Why would she come back here in the first place?" She didn't understand why their mother had bred with Rougaru again. Acalia just sighs. "You are old enough now to make your own choices. If you want my help I am here, but you don't have to live here. Where will you go?"

"Back to the Harbor I guess. The new owners don't seem too bad." Bath already had a response though she wasn't sure it was the right choice to make. The sisters chat a bit more until Bathsheba decides to head back home. It wasn't until she made it to the edge of Paradise that the onslaught of tears began to fall from her eyes. The young mare tucks her legs underneath her as she lays herself down on the jungle floor. What would she do now?

I can feel your fear,
he's done you wrong
