He studied her beautiful figure like it was the first and last time. She was breathtaking in all her curves and feminine wiles. Even when she was shriveled and withdrawn, a shadow in the cover of night, he saw the beauty underneath it all and was breathless. But now, seeing her in all her majestic beauty with a daughter he could call his own at her side, she was truly something else altogether. She had bloomed into a confident creature, protective and fierce in her loyalty. Even as he drew closer, he could smell a new energy in her scent and it sent shivers down his spine. The dark look in her eyes was promising and he found himself aching to live up to it. Yet the sleeping figure at her hooves made him go quieter, not wanting to wake sweet Phoebe. She reached her muzzle out for him without hesitation and he felt a breath he'd been holding let go. Then her lips caressed his face and he let out a sigh, closing his eyes as he leaned into her touch. Her words trailed across his skin like butterfly wings, making him tingle with satisfaction and he opened his eyes again to turn their affectionate depths on her as his lips tugged into a smile. "It wasn't the same without you here. I didn't feel whole, complete. Let's try not to do that again, shall we?"
