Hey everyone! I just have a few announcements to make. Firstly, Chaos and I have had a few questions/suggestions over the past few weeks, so we had a quick chat and are happy to confirm the following rule changes which we hope you will enjoy:
1) Peak/Lagoon leaders can now hold same-sex companions
2) Opposite-sex companions, as well as trinkets of any gender, may have limited privileges in certain circumstances (see below)
Those are the basic changes, but if you wish to know more about how they work, here is more detail:
-Companions may be picked from either trinkets or full members. If a full member is picked, their rights and privileges do not change when they are a companion
-Trinkets may answer challenges with the permission of the Peak/Lagoon leader as well as their battle opponent
-If a trinket is made a companion, the Peak/Lagoon leader may wish to grant them the following additional privileges: a) the ability to assist in multi-horse raids, and b) the ability to become a full member (only applicable to same-sex trinkets).
Furthermore, after a comment from a member, we noticed a loophole within the rules and would like to clarify the following:
3) Raids may not be conducted against horses that are only visiting within a territory, regardless of whether they have a home elsewhere or are homeless. Horses may only be raided within their home territory. We made this decision so that herd leaders would not be put in the position of losing their herd members through no fault of their own, but because of the inaction of another herd leader.
If anyone has any questions or concerns about any of this, please let us know. We are also happy to revisit any of these topics in our next discussion if we feel they are not working for the game or causing any concerns among the players. (We also apologize for the delay on said discussion, but we promise it will be up eventually!)
