Speaking of picking on BZ, why on earth is their local people taking up ABC News's HORRIBLE newSPEAK style book.
With David Muir, he and all ABC's field reporters have been told to SKIP the third "W", the WHEN, of news. They've very noticeably decided to drop VERBS so they dont have to use past tense in a news sentence. (Even tho most news reported has already happened.)
But now all verbs used with "ING". Everyone is SAYING. Dead people are still DYING. Now people (minus are) KILLED". So did the people GET killed or KILL somebody ELSE.
It's totally irritating as ABC skips ACCURACY to give viewers the impression that news is always HAPPENING AT NEWSTIME!
Sigh. Now BZ, which carries ABC Radio, has started what I hope will be a short lived PERVERSION of the English language.
