He hated seeing the pain on the mare's features, but he still had hope that she would decide to go see her mother so Lillika could find some form of peace. When she started to speak, he pricked his ears and leaned in a little, hungry for any words she might give him. When she told him where her sister was, his heart leapt with happiness. He was halfway to getting Lillika her wish now. His gaze watched the mare patiently as she told him how he wouldn't be welcome there and should send Lillika but he shook his head. "I took this mission to save her from making unnecessary trips. I'll go first to make sure she's still there and see if she might be amenable to going to see her mother. I'll figure out the dangers when I get there." He tried his best at giving a small smile, something he hoped to boost the mare's confidence in him not to end up maimed or dead or whatever might befall him there.

It didn't make him feel all that good to know he might not be welcome in the Cove, but he had more important things to think about. Like bringing back Lillika's smile, completing his mission, and reuniting a family. Whatever it takes. She did realize she couldn't make the decision for her mother and let him know he could tell her mother if he wished. He was a little disheartened that she wouldn't go see her, herself, but at least she gave him the okay to explain to Lillika so she could come here and find her daughter without searching needlessly around the islands. The mare turned away then and he gave a sad smile at her last words. "I hope so, as well, Iris. It was a pleasure to meet you." With a dip of his head then, the stallion turned and headed back into the surf, setting his internal compass for Tinuvel and the Cove.
