Momma was busy dealing with his frantic older sister so he quickly decides to slip out for an adventure. Gul has never snuck away from her before, but after meeting his father two months ago he was curious about the outside world. He was still too young to truly want to be away from his mother, but a few hours away shouldn't hurt. The dark smoky colt makes a clean getaway from his bickering family. He looks back only once as their figures become small behind him. They were still arguing.
He grins in a boyish manner as he continues. Soon, he was across the border of his new home and into the territory known as his birth home. Gul knew exactly where he was so he felt no fear as he explored his old home. Mother and him had only stayed here a couple month after his birth before they ventured over to the Badlands. The owner of the Badlands was his relative, an uncle, but he didn't care much for him. No, Gul only wanted to explore the Badlands and go back to the Hills to explore some more. That is, after he started to get over his 'mom is everything' phase.
The colt halts his progress immediately when he heard voices up ahead. His small ears perk towards them, but it was hard to hear what they were saying over the calm movement of the water. He takes a quick sip before eagerly trotting closer. He follows along the water until the two females are in his sights. One was older, not by much, but the other looks around the same age as himself. The younger was frolicking in the water which looks like great fun so he decides to join her.
With a broad smile, the colt jumps in once he was closer. "Herro!" He exclaims with green eyes on the bay filly splashed with white. Water splashes up his legs from his action.
