Aries
You will never forget

Leaving Cain’s side he had been so amped up to meet the rest of the herd. The further he ran the more of the worry began to cripple him. What if the herd didn’t like him? Was there a reason father had stayed away from Cain’s herd? Aries has lived in the Desert he whole life, but he had never met anyone other than his close-knit family. And now Cain of course. Why? He knew mother had her worries and she preferred to keep their family to herself. She filled their time with endless stories of her upbringing and the stories told to her when she was a little filly. They were now gone and he had no one to pass his stories along to.

It was now reaching the fourth month since he talked to Cain, but the herd seems more scarce than usual. The mares seem upset about their fallen friend and at the same time figuring out their ranks. It felt wrong to get in the middle of that right now. Cain was busy fighting off the Lagoon and feeling the loss of giving them a son. He had brought home a new mare so maybe there was some hope left for the herd. Aries spotted a pregnant mare or two, but not everyone seems to be having foals this spring. The worry he had these past few months began to melt away with his new sense of journey. That spark he felt when he first met Cain needed to come back full force. It was time he helped protect this herd and the upcoming little ones that would start yet another generation.

He soon finds a yearling filly playing by herself in the sand. ”Hello little one who might you be?” Aries smiles as he greet the greying girl. The filly quickly responds with a squeal as if he had startled her. She quickly bites his closest heel before speeding off calling for her mother. Aries snorts as he lifts his leg from her bite, eyes watching her with surprise. His mouth drops open as he looks around for anyone thinking he might have done something wrong or an angry momma bear ready to kick his butt.
