When the black mare appeared, she moved as if she were ready for the next round. Tyr admired her bravery. To have just lost, but prepared to fight again despite the cargo she carried. There was no need for that, and his stance remained somewhat relaxed for a stallion still standing partly in the water. At least his words stopped her, though her expression never changed. Only, he thought he might have seen a brief flicker of curiosity in her eyes as she looked him over before giving a sharp nod of her well defined head.
“The Lagoon is not interested in keeping another mare.” he started. “I only took the girl, so that you would hear me out. At least on her behalf.” Tyr thought truthfulness might get him farther this time, rather than the ploy of pretty words he could spin instead. “The Lagoon has a new leader, Cullen is no longer among our ranks. I know he has caused havoc here, and as a show of cease fire, I’m willing to give you the girl back.” Tyr had always been one to take what he wanted, and the words he said now felt strange coming out of his mouth. He knew not all of the brothers would agree to this, but he was sure Rade would.
“But….” Tyr added, the catch finally revealing itself. “I find Atlantis to be a pretty scenery, and would like to bring my companion here along with our child for a breath of fresh air that doesn’t hold stallion stench.” He narrowed his eyes slightly on the dark mare, trying to read what she may think of this. Surely a brute like him would not care so much about his companion, would he? It was also a way to show her differently. To prove he wasn’t a monster. “Can you agree to those two terms in order to get Roisin back?” he asked.
