Solomon is listening to her intently, keyed in, clearly interested, and Iscaie knows she’s doing the same. It’s intoxicating, the attention, the rushing feeling of potential, her hopes spilling out in front of her, golden-hued and so full of potential that she almost misses his question. The low tones of his voice yank her back from her musings, and Iscaie smiles at him. What had she imagined? Well, with the way her mother had hidden her away from every single stranger, pushed her back to keep quiet and unobserved, she’d expected something scarier. Why would her mother shelter her that way, if there wasn’t a risk?

Iscaie shrugs a shoulder, weight shifting as she glances at him. “I don’t really know,” she laughs. “Rude? Intimidating? A monster come to drag me away? Something worthy of all the terrible stories my mother whispered about strangers. I’m starting to think it was all a frightening lie to keep me in line.” She’s made it pretty evident already that she hasn’t had much experience with strangers before this, but it still makes her a little embarrassed to discuss further. “Seems a little exaggerated, is all” Iscaie concludes.

Solomon reaches out after she agrees to join him, his muzzle touching her shoulder, and her eyes slip closed briefly. She shivers at the puff of hot breath over her side, glancing over at him, before lowering her eyes. “I do want,” Iscaie agrees brightly, but has to look away again with a silly grin on her face. “Flatterer,” Iscaie murmurs. She takes a step along with Solomon though, following as he leads in the same direction he had gestured to earlier. “To the Cove, then?” she asks excitedly. “I’m excited to see your home.
