The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

four, glorall, ravenwing x seraphina, the lost one

Ravenwing had failed him. Seraphina had abandoned him to his fate. Alcmene,
Mana, Los, Shimmerpaw… All names that he should know, all faces that should look like family, are lost to the sands of time. Glorall, it slept beneath the waves now. As for Eden, he had not heard that name on the breeze for several … Years? How much time had passed? How long have I sat here? Just waiting! For things that never come to me. For faces that don’t look at me. Who was this … Elohim? That I kept hearing whispers of? Well! He is no prince of mine!

I had heard rumours, from the wanderers, from the whispers on the breeze, that there was a … magic in this place. This place that had risen from nowhere. Sounds like a good place to look for things that have been lost. For the first time in my life, I leap over the broken borderline that was my home, or should I say, our fallen kingdom. I dance through the puddles of mud. My young shoulders rolling easily beneath my hackles. The rain, it plays upon my back, and it starts to wash the years of clogged up muck and sand away from my fur. The gentle rain soon turns into a deluge. I pause for a moment in an endless emerald ocean. I close my golden eyes and I allow the water to wash over me. After a few moments, I snorted, and coughed, and cleared my clogged up lungs. I feel; refreshed! I feel like I have been re-born …

Speaking of which. I find I am not the only soul to pay these ancient rocks a visit. At first I kept my distance, unsure of whom I had found and what I might be walking into. I slow my easy lop to a slow walk, but I was never one for the tact of sneaking about. They can see me, and if they can’t see my massive frame in the mist, they can definitely smell my stench on the wind. I wait, just on the edge, I keep both of them in my line of sight, I wait for a sign of threat, or better yet, a sign of invitation. I am staring at them I guess; wondering who they are and what tales they have to tell. I keep my head high and my shoulders back. Tail swaying idly behind me in a lazy rhythm.

They are both old, but not old enough to be considered useless or worthless. Do they belong to a pack? Or have they also been cast aside and left to rot? My head cocks to one side in intrigement. Golden eyes sparking in the mist. What stories do you have to share with me? Gentlemen? I want to ask them, I want to communicate with them. Damn, this rotten curse of the blood that runs through my veins. What monster am I? Can you tell me?!
