Re(10): Why dont you ever play Dancing Queen?

If I was so bad at jokes and insults, why do you steal my lines, Jim, rework em a touch, and call em your own. I don't insult third graders like you did.... I insult middle schoolers at the lunchtable. And on occasion, little spoiled, bratty girls in plaid parochial school jumpers.

it occurred to me after your earlier post that the reason you trash me yet never talk about radio yourself, is that you dont know shit about radio other than being able to read the Book.

I presume you know programmers just dont consult sales slugs when making programming decisions--well maybe they did at KFDI. When did you stop getting a radio paycheck anyway? Did you get out even before I jumped to teevee? (Tho actually I wrote for broadcast TV even in when I was doing radio at two combo stations in doodah.

I expect up here, BZ takes stuff from 9's air, but 9 doesn't call BZ for copy! At 3 and 10, we didn't rip and read there, we actually researched our news and we were expected to write copy for TV. It's radio stations that read wire copy rewritten from the local papers.

Well, that's how it was in the glory days before internet and cable, but now the Star's about as thin as a suburban shopper! And so is the size of their reporting staff. Too bad, fer sure.

Like everything else, things have gone to shit. Everytime I have a Sears guy over to fix an appliance, they whine about how new washers, drier, fridges and microwaves fail nowadays and it's best to keep the old ones and just order parts.

I'd say every homeowner needs a home warranty policy because boards for Fridgidaire et al are $200 plus service calls. That hundred dollars a year and hundred dollar a visit policy is still worth the price! Especially with the power company's constant surges blowing the electronics!

Our MW went out and we're still waiting for the circuit board ...so I went to Target and picked one up as a spare for $79. I cant live without a MW in this day and age! We had to buy a window AC once, one hot month when our AC needed a part.

You should be sellin em! And you should be sellin GeekSquad and after-purchase warranties because todays 3rd world technology is designed to fail.

I've always felt the Japs are getting even for Hiroshima by secretly putting little Japanese monkey wrenches in all the cars and electronics they ship to us!
