Sekhmet basked in the suns setting rays before dismounting the massive bolder she had come to love. The deep hisses in her mind seemed to stir as the light began to fade. The tall grasses illuminated by moonlight washing over the earth. Tilting her head back an eerie and melodious howl escaped her maw. It was a simple summons to her wayward daughter that it was time to return home. There was business to attend to and perhaps she was preparing herself several years in advance but she was determined to have this conversation with Menkhet.
Standing in the heart of her territory she would permit no one else in her presence aside from her daughter. It had been a shorter time than even she had expected as her daughters dark bodice came into view. Standing tall Sekhment offered a non to her daughters greeting.
In a flash pearly whites made contact just at the base of her neck near her shoulder. The bite was mock and light but Menkhet had certainly grasped her attention. As her daughter dove back Sekhmet pressed forwards aiming a light bite at the girls muzzle nicking her gently before the pairs eyes glittered in excitement. This would not be a fight to end her reign not tonight. It would be a match of bonding. Perhaps something that was long over due. As the mood hid behind the clouds the world would only hear the sounds of battle and for the pair they would only share joy, united together as one of flesh and blood. A true family.
