Use caution when the Wolf comes aknockin;

He does not miss her scent. Like a memory that had faded and been reborn, the pleasant exotic odor of her skin causes the muscular stallion to pause mid stride. He had not known Nasa for very long, in actuality it had been a mere afternoon meandering down the beachscape lost in gentle conversation and lovers embrace. The morning sun found her gone, himself alone with only the gently lapping waves as company. She had been queen of the Harbor at that time, a title that, like his own, held a great deal of responsibility and thus he did not think much more beyond the excitement of a chance alliance that their coupling might produce. However his dreams were dashed when he began to notice another’s scent on their shared borders.

For a few weeks he found himself patrolling the Harbor borders personally, taking in the new scent and searching again and again for the exotic darkling arabian mare. However, like a midsummer night’s dream, she was gone. What became of their coupling was unknown to him. He had caught her scent briefly mingled with Monster, the painted viper had told him that indeed the beautiful black mare had borne him a daughter but like so many of his daughters, she was gone again before he could even lay his eyes upon her. He had been hurt, but the wolf forced him to push such emotions away and let them lay with the beast. There were occasions when he thought of her, the softness of her skin and what their daughter might be like. Did she share her mother’s beautiful blue green eyes? Was she like him or built slender like her mother? Did Nasa tell the girl of him or was he merely meant to be a donor of sperm and off she went? Now that last part he did not doubt would be fictional for the most part. It was only a matter of hours that he and Nasa had spent together anyway but still he could not help but wonder.

When her scent came to him today, like a beacon he found himself drawn to her. Saucer-like hooves propel him through the twisting jungle trails until he finds himself on the white sandy beach, staring at the black mare and the young bay woman at her side. For a moment he finds himself immoble, staring at the two ocean damp women with admiration and unveiled awe. Nasa had been younger the last time he saw her, however age had done nothing to tamper her beauty. Lithe muscles had grown, her dark mane and forelock longer now than it had been, tattered and wild as the zephyrs dried the straying strands. Those bright eyes still stood out against the stark contrast of her beautifully dished face that somehow seemed to still shine with youth and wisdom. In essence, she looked much the same as the young spirited mare that had once proclaimed herself as queen of the Harbor. How much had he changed he wondered? Did he look the same to her? He had not missed the growing number of gray hairs that were beginning to appear around his muzzle when he stared at his reflection in the still waters left after a rainstorm. He was not foolish enough to think that the ache in his muscles each morning was a mere coincidence.

Nothing he could change about that now. A welcoming smile curves itself across his ash dusted lips as the muscular stallion slips free of the shadow of palm branches and onto the bright sunshine of the warm beach. A single brow raises as he tilts his head to the side, emerald eyes glittering in the bright sunshine. ”What have we here? Visitors from far distant lands>” he murmurs with a deep tenured chuckle. Long cream and caramel tail flicks idly against his hocks as the stallion closes the distance between them, his gaze flitting back and forth between mother and daughter. ”It’s been a long time, Nasa. I wondered what had become of the Harbor you intended to build.”
