Every year I record only one Common Loon on McPhee Bay (L Simcoe) during breeding season, and dutifully send the info to the Loon survey. During the migration periods there are many more loons. Today, however, I saw a pair of Common Loons with a juvenile. Why this is amazing is that McPhee Bay is not that big and it has heavy motor boat traffic (especially personal water craft).
