Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Too much ale and a man's heart is laid open for all to see

"What has become of us Tauri? We used to be so in love...now look at us." His words echo in his head over and over as the days pass. His lover wants nothing to do with him since he dragged her back to the Lagoon. He watches her belly swell with their second child. Happiness is what he felt thinking of a better world once their new child was born. This would not be like last time. They will raise this child together with smiles on their faces. He could see them all together clearly in his dreams.

On this spring day, Torsten leaves his beautiful lover behind to partake on another endless search for his daughter. His search for Torvi was unsuccessful once again so after a few hours he turns his course for home. He did not think Tauri would try to escape at this point in her pregnancy. She needed his help to raise the child. That, and a big part of him believes she was coming around. They used to be so in love. Wanting to run away from the adults and starting their own life together, but then Requiem has to butt in. The stupid stallion should have never revealed who he was to Tauri. That caused this whole crazy mess!

Torsten had never given thought to what he might do if one of the other stallions tried to take Tauri from him. So far everyone has stayed to their own corners, but it was only a matter of time. Not every stallion understood a true Lagoon stallion. Now that Cullen was gone and Rade was in charge, Torsten noticed more gentle creatures turning up around here. It was not his taste, but the Lagoon would always be what it was to him. A place to be himself and keep Tauri without the prying eyes of a regular herd shooing him off. If the Lagoon began to change in that way...they had all become soft.

Tauri is in his sights now, but so is everyone else. Seems she had an audience for the birth of their new child. Rage fills him and overlaps the memory of happiness he tried dreaming to reality. This was not how it was supposed to go! The stallion's teeth grind together as he thunders towards then. You could hear the anger in every step, but he keeps quiet until his gait slows behind his lover. He didn't realize who the spotted stallion was until he was stopped behind Tauri and his new child. Just as Rade asked the stallion if he finally decided to join them, Torsten scowls. "He will never be my brother." Eyes of fire glare at Fearghas. The stallion that stole his beloved away will never be someone he protects or gives aid to. If it were up to him, the stallion would be dead where he stands today.

His focus turns to the tiny foal that lays apart from her mother. Torsten does not comment on this, actually he doesn't think much about it, but he brings his nose down to the tiny child. "What have you named her?" His eyes flick to Tauri before returning to their new child. It was his hope that one glance would be enough for her to act accordingly. These stallions needed to leave so the new family could have their proper bonding time.
