You obviously dont' read the posts in these two rooms except mine. It aint ME bitching about Intercom. Intercommies have always bitched in here about the home office. Actually all of em. Thats the sport in here. They even complain about the studio temperatures!
All I said was my usual "I told you so!" Before long it'll just be you in here by yourself because ra-DID-eeoh will be fully automated with imported signals. Even you for radio time will be sold regionally and nationally, like TV. Hurry, or you'll come calling to buy some time and the door will b locked and you'll have to dial an 800 number! I know, it sucks. And they have the Audacity to call that progress!
I was just writing elsewhere last night, wondering how unskilled people will find work with retail gone.
Used to be you could see suburban kids in designer basketball shorts ridin on the back of trash trucks...but now what used to be 3 men on the morning route, there's only the driver who pushes a button, and his pincer grabs our blue container, lifts it up, shakes it, and dumps the trash in the top of his truck. One driver doing the work of 3 men.
I don't know what deejays will do...now that Apple's invented music software so that all ya have to do is click "shuffle" and out comes all the music, commercial free!
Now everyone can be a deejay! And dont even have to go to the Columbia School of Broadcasting! They can just download itunes for FREE! Replies:
