breaking the bad BLOCK

He had been idle, long enough. He felt restless, his skin vibrating with the need for action as he moved around the Lagoon, in search of chaos. Ravine was trying to pull him out more for adventure, which was nice, but he needed more to do. He noticed the stallion Tyr was out more, challenging for members and making enemies of his own. Before the next election, Chronos knew he needed to make some waves or he would lose the role he fought so hard for. He wouldn't be just a one-hit wonder. He refused. So the young stallion set out across the water and headed toward the Crossing, hungry for destruction. The swim didn't take much out of him anymore. He was used to running in the humidity of the Lagoon so sweating was second nature, now. He made the swim in no time and shook his coat out on the shores, looking around, before his venom green eyes fell on the gray mare.

She was taller than him with a pretty face and innocent eyes. She was nickering to the other horses nearby, obviously looking for a herd to call home. Well, it was her lucky day. Even before he headed in that direction, Chronos could smell another stallion in the area. When the chocolate male stepped out, his own nostrils flared with recognition. Rougaru. He remembered the lead stallion from Paradise. It's where his parents once called home, after all. Where he was born. But he was gone before he was even a yearling, and not long after that, he joined the Lagoon. Would the stallion even remember him? Probably not. It's not like they ever met face-to-face.

Rougaru was on the prowl, heading toward the mare with a charming nicker and a suave look in his eyes, Mr. Romeo. Chronos couldn't help but snort and roll his eyes before he took off in their direction. Pinning his ears flat to his skull, he snaked out his neck and cut between the stallion and mare. Curling his lips, he flashed his teeth toward the mare, aiming a bite for her haunches to drive her toward the Lagoon. His hindquarters swung toward Rougaru in case the other male retaliated (which he was sure, he would), ready to lash out with hind legs. "You snooze, you lose, grandpa." He sneered in the stallion's direction, turning to drive the mare toward the Lagoon.
