For the first time in what could have been forever (it was), Jaws had returned. Born here, on the islands, but was it much of a home? Parents that didn’t want her… Rade was the closest thing, but he was probably gone now too. Everyone always left, why would this be any different? Jaws sighed deeply as she set foot in the Meadow. Why had she come? After all this time, why had she come back?
There was no home for her. No home to speak of. It was the only thing she really had left to come back to, so she’d made the swim. There was a far away look in her eye as she surveyed the place, much the same as she’d left it. An uncomfortable chill lived in her ribcage, a side effect of the long swim. Making a trip like this in the winter, was she okay? Likely not. Probably never had been. Childhood trauma would do that to you.
Jaws holds her head high as she scans the horizon. Was anyone out here? The midday sun hung brilliantly in the sky. In winter it wouldn’t last very long, but she’d enjoy it while it lasted. Come night… well, in honesty, Jaws didn’t know what she’d do. The knot of anxiety in her stomach was something she’d choke back for now.mare. smokyblack. 15.2. floydxclytie. |
