She is bold where she stands. Though Cambria is not massive, she takes up space without apology. There’s a strength in her, something that couldn’t be shaken. It burns hot in her chest. Cambria wouldn’t let herself burn from the inside out, not this time… though she considered it. She would quiet the heat of her temper, and try not to let the emotion take control. Try was the operative word.

There was a call that shattered the stillness, the quiet of the world around her. It was a little startling, but Cambria was all the more intrigued-- it was the voice of a woman. Her ears flickered forward, gaze scanning for the woman that had made the call. Ah-- there. Coming toward her. Cambria takes her in, curious. Dark, just a bit taller, with a pale face. She’s pretty, the girl notes inwardly. A pang in her stomach as she notices the stranger doesn’t look unlike her own mother.

Cambria maintains a comfortable distance as the woman closes the gap. It’s polite, not fearful. Doing her best to remember her manners. The stranger’s tone is sharp, but civil. Her gaze leaves Cambria feeling… naked. It wasn’t a feeling she was accustomed to. Another swim? ”Yes, I can do it,” and she could. She’s strong. Always will be, and she’s sure of herself. ”Where are we going?” Cambria isn’t naive, but she understands her position in this scene. Besides, she was happy to not have to be on her own anymore. There’s a confident, quiet strength that rests in her tone.
