I found this uncracked egg on the cottage driveway today. It was not there yesterday. Based on size and shape, I believe it is from a Canada Goose, not Wild Turkey, as I had originally surmised. It is stained and apparently not fresh. The road is about 100’ from and 40’ above the lakeshore, closest spot where a goose might have a nest—in April. How did it get there? I have no idea.
