When Ruger came to her with the offer to go somewhere else, Evie had to admit that at first she was nervous. The Prairie had been her home now for the longest time, but she knew that her home was wherever he was. If that meant going somewhere else, she would do it, but would her children? Calista was all for it. She looked so excited to see a new place that Evie couldn't help but feel her own reserves lift at the bright look in her daughter's eyes. But Ryder wasn't so sure. He wanted to go out on his own, see what difference he could make in the world. And he wanted to start by finishing what he started for the mare, Lilika. Evie had to admit, her son had a pure heart, just like his father. She couldn't help but smile with pride as she hugged him goodbye and herded Calista to the shore line. The swim from Luthien to Atlantis didn't take too terribly long but she was aware of how much warmer the water got as she got closer. Her skin shivered at the thought of a change in climate, but she knew her coat would adjust in no time. Her heart would feel better once she saw her mate again. When her hooves finally reached the beach, she shook out her coat and looked around with a soft snort. She could smell the herd that resided here. Everthing was so new and exotic, so mysterious. She turned to her daughter. "Well? What do you think?" Calista grinned back at her. "It's so pretty here, mom!" And that was all Evie needed to bring a smile to her face as she watched her daughter paw at the ground in excitement to explore her new home. Evie knew only one thing could make it better....seeing her mate.
