Ugh, she felt so uncomfortable here. What was she doing? She belonged in the sands of Salem, kicking up her heels and racing the wind. She didnt' regret leaving, but what if she went back? Maybe she could get to know some of the new faces there, find a new place to call home. A snort fell from her nostrils as the mare pawed the soft dirt at her hooves. She hated this, not knowing where she belonged. Things used to be so much easier, back when she had Sayyida and the Dunes herd. Back when she had Aldebaran and the rest of the brothers. Back when things were normal. It felt so right, being there with them. But they were gone. She couldn't remember the last time she saw any of their faces. A sad scowl tugged at her lips.
But no, she wouldn't get dragged down that rabbit hole. Snorting again, she shook her head and stomped the ground. She had to move on, even if it meant going to some other chump hole that didn't fit with her at all. She would make it work, somehow. She had to. The frustration of the situation hit her like a freight train and the mare lashed out, kicking with a hind leg as she squealed and tore up the grass at her hooves.
