Her caught her scent before anything else adn his body tensed in response, though more out of anticipation than anything else. While growing up, he had watched Ruby as a mysterious creature that he needed to analyze and figure out, but as he got older, he got more curious of her because of his maturing body and appetite. Yes, he had a puppy crush on Ruby, but she'd matched him every stride with intelligent conversation, making him think more and reach more inside himself for answers than he ever thought possible. Of course, she knew of Demons and Angels like his mother had told him about, but that was hardly a concern to him. He was curious about the past, but he didn't want it to run his life, not like it seemed to run his mother's. Meeting Skyfire put a new twist on his heart and his mind tht he wasn't anticipating, but there was no doubt even now as Ruby's scent washed over him that she still held power over him as well. What was a guy to do?
He glanced over, though trying to seem subtle as his purple eyes fell on the shadowy form of Iromar's Alpha. She was moving parallel to him, though walking closer with every stride, seeming to match his pace so that they'd end up walking together. A smirk pulled at his lips as he remembered the first time they met. She told him it was good to see him back and he dipped his head. "I just hope you picked a drier path to walk this time." He glanced toward her with a mischeveous twinkle in his eyes. Of course, he noted the moment her face sobered into something more business-like. Of course. It wasn't like Ruby to do a lot of small talk unless there was some thinking behind it, some ulterior motive. She was going to turn this into some kind of lesson. He gave a small sigh, but pricked his ears toward her anyway.
She mentioned a new member and his body tensed again, this time because he was already pretty sure he knew where this was heading. He caught Skyfire's scent as he crossed the borders so he knew she'd at least been here in passing. He wondered if she had already mentioned him since coming. Did she come to see him? He found his mind wandering and was only half listening to Ruby at this point, but when her voice got more direct and she said that the new member mentioned him, he snapped his gaze back to her almost in surprise, though it would be hard to miss the interest there as well. Wished to be by his side? Wow, she certainly was bold, he couldn't help but think to himself. His smirk twitched a little wider before he remembered that he was supposed to be a future leader and get better at hiding his thoughts. He listened as Ruby went on to tell him how she responded and his gaze narrowed a bit. Yes, that sounded exactly like something Ruby would say. A sliver of tooth showed in a small grin as his lips drew back a little more and his eyes went to twinkling.
"And as a member of Iromar, she would of course be expected to be loyal to everyone. But I think you knew what she meant by that statement so tell me, Ruby....what were you thinking?" He couldn't help but lower his voice and lean in toward her a little. Growing older had only helped the male's confidence and he was ready to unleash it on the world in full force, or at least the female who had come to earn his respect and attention. "Did you welcome the idea of a female showing me attention or did it awaken something? Did you want to bathe Iromar in her blood? Add her to the graveyard of bones, hm?" He tilted his head, searching her gaze as he waited for a response. Ruby was always one to surprise him. It was nice to finally feel like he was close to being on her level. She'd always felt so much bigger than him, so out of his league.
Of course, Ruby jumped into a lecture, telling him to escort anyone he invited to Iromar. He couldn't help but chuckle. "I didn't invite her here to live, Ruby. I just told her she could visit." But then he wondered, did Skyfire take it as an invitation to live here? Not that he didn't want her here. It was just so...confusing. But his attention swung back to Ruby as she mentioned a fight. "Wait, what? She wanted to fight you?" Had he heard that right? He didn't know whether to admire Skyfire's courage or lecture her for putting herself in danger. Didn't she know that the wolves of Iromar take no prisoners in a fight? His own mother was a noble warrior and the ones before her were merciless. Iromar was known for losing leaders to death, not just by a fight. He shuddered at the thought of something happening to Skyfire like that. What was she thinking??
Then Ruby was asking his opinion, asking if she took the right course of action. Her eyes seemed to see right through him as she mentioned how the female knew him again. What was she trying to see? His reaction? How he felt about Skyfire? He swallowed at the thought before composing himself and meeting her gaze. "You're right, fighting would have been pointless, especially for someone who wanted to join the pack. You'd only be harming a potential defender of the borders. Does anyone ever truly know anyone though? I do tend to pull others to me when I go somewhere, you know. I'm like a magnet really. I mean, can you blame them?" He gave his most charming smirk and a sly wink in her direction, hoping to defuse the situation and lighten her up a bit.

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.
Diplomats- Extroverts of Iromar. Skilled in politics and overall conversation.
Spies- Scouts and thieves of Iromar. Skilled in blending in and masking themselves when called upon.
Teachers- Guardians of the youth of Iromar. Skilled in defense and culture. They shape the young minds of the future.
Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
