Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The floods had all but utterly devastated the lands. Glorall was still livable, but at what cost? The only positive thing to come of all of this was the fact her eczema hadn't flared up quite as much. Less sand had resulted in less irritants. Sometimes, she wondered why she didn't move on from the seaside pack. Eira knew she was welcome in Diveen at any time since the large white wolf had taken over, and there was that one wolf... Noctis... that she had met there. It was a genuine possibility.

However, the brown and white wolf still found her way home. Here is where her mother and father called home; here is where her siblings called home. Most of them anyway. Her tail swayed back and forth absently as she padded along. Eira weaved amidst the trees nearer to the borders of the pack. The world was quiet today. Summer was upon them, and the air around her was surprisingly still. The birds seemed to have settled in the heat of the day; the small creatures hunkered down for for an afternoon siesta. She debated doing the same. Yet, it didn't seem right. So, Eira weaved through the trees.

Each step was through a well worn path, one she made herself on a regular basis. The shade of the trees was always kinder than the shores. Which was strange enough since the woman always ended up itchy and scratchy afterwards. No matter, a good swim was always a good swim. She hadn't done that in awhile. Understandably so, she had absolutely no desire to get swept away. She prayed the waters would eventually recede that they might once more go back to proper day to day life.
