Yuki had kept herself busy. In fact, it might have been argued that she had kept herself too busy, which had resulted in substantial parts of her life having gone neglected. At least, that is what her mother had said when Yuki had taken it upon herself to be a guest for a number of days. While Yin wanted to rest, relax, and simply enjoy their time together, Yuki had kept active: she had poked and prodded her mother until she told stories, rushed off to hunt, buried caches of food here and there, dug new dens, ripped out what she perceived to be undesirable weeds that grew too close...Busy, busy, busy. For that, she'd received what had been Yin's efforts at a lecture of sorts. Then, Yin had sent her on her way. After all, if she wanted to be so busy, she surely had things to do in Spirane, right? It hadn't been mean-spirited on Yin's behalf, because it had been true. Yuki accepted it with a sheepish grin, an admission of guilt. Relaxing had just never been something she prioritizd.

When Yuki had arrived back in Spirane, she had immediately taken to checking over her affairs and then seeking out Nymeria, or Kalseru. She had become aware of Nymeria's fight not too long ago, but Yuki didn't fuss over it. Moonfeather was, after all, an exceptional healer, and any wolf would have been fortunate to have been in her care. If anything, the news had made Yuki change her plans to seek out Nymeria specifically, although her den had been quickly discovered to be empty. With a huff and a sigh, Yuki began to follow their Abhorsen's scent, though she quickly grew suspicious of just where she had gone. Was it too soon to be doing that kind of training? With narrowed eyes and with a distinct effort to conceal the rise and fall of her chest, she followed up the slope. Nymeria had been born and trained to be a warrior, but Yuki had not been. She felt the burn in her muscles and lungs, but at least in the distance, she could see Nymeria ahead.

Yuki quickened her pace, or at least made an effort to do so. Then, she let out a bark of greeting, and prayed silently that it hadn't given her exhaustion away. Sure, she could keep going if she had to, but she didn't exactl want to. That wasn't the kind of busy that Yuki liked to be! Strolling through the free lands, patrolling the mountain paths...They were idle-work compared to pushing one's self up the skeleton of a landslide! But Yuki had things she felt she ought to discuss, and the longer she trailed behind Nymeria, the more questions and ideas she had. So, it'd be worth it to catch up to her. At least, that's what she told herself as she clambered up and over a large boulder, taking respite at the top momentarily before she allowed herself to practically slide down the other side.
