With an innocent heart, she loves [Sakhmet cont.]

Eness
..mare..five..arabian..black rabicano..15.1 hh..

She’s not surprised by the reaction of Sakhmet at her arrival. So much has happened and in such little time, neither side is able to fully recover before something else decides to transpire. Their birth home was gone, their new home also gone, and their love for each other?

Was she doomed to further lose what was left of her own being?

“Shh Sakhmet,” Eness tries to calm the storm that is her heart, a fiery hurricane she is though as the black mare tries her best to wade through the first onslaught of Sakhmet’s fury. She is justified though, in her feelings, to feel and act the way she did. How was Eness to know she’d find the other half of her soul here? He didn’t have her heart though, for it was already gone, long gone before men were ever a thing in her eyes and all she knew was the mismatched gaze of a little filly crying for help. She’d given her heart then, incurring the wrath of her own father to do so, but it had been worth it and still was.

Her soul was gone, and their children, leaving her to her heart.

She’s been around enough of Sakhmet’s temper tantrums to know she’d never really strike out, even if she thought the very image of Eness right now was nothing more than a mirage. Her beloved would never do harm. So she takes those confident steps to break the distance, cautious but determined. “He is gone. My children, gone from me,” she does agree with this, and it pains her so but she knows that Atair would understand, “but I stayed. You are my constant Sakhmet, the true comet in my starry night that I will forever track and follow until I can no longer breathe.” Yet she holds her breath, reaching across the void in the hopes to touch her hot tempered skin that was surely ablaze with the heat of her fire, the very body that had often kept Eness warm at night.

“I am no devil, my beloved one. Allat as my witness, I am here for you and only you,”, she tries to push more into her space, consequences be damned in the end. With as much grace as she can muster, she lowers herself to take a knee and another in a bow of sorts, stretching her neck forward until her forehead can touch the ground in which Sakhmet nervously paws at. “I am at your mercy my comet, if I am truly just an image of your torment then please strike me where I stand before you now for I will know no peace until I am again by your side,” she whispers to both Sakhmet and to the goddess of the earth to hear her plea as well, that if she were truly the devil then let the land swallow her up.
“uhibuk ya qalbi,'' their people’s words leave her mouth while she closes her eyes, accepting whatever fate her truly blessed one would see fit.
