Use caution when the Wolf comes aknockin;

In truth, Rougaru had not held much thought into Cain's agreement for alliances after the moment the stallion left his shores. Since the desert dwellers departure, Faolain had come attempting to steal away the pretty painted mare that had been his prize. Solomon too had followed not long in her footsteps with demands for battle to gain custody of the red and white woman. Why she was such a prize the wolf did not think he quite understood. She was pretty to be sure, with those deep emerald green eyes and blotches of red interrupting the wide white blaze on her brow. That coupled with the arching slope of her neck and the long flowing locks of red that frame her face was exotic indeed, but truthfully not nearly as exotic as others he had come across. Monster with her unbridled spirit and youthful curves. Vanya with her slender ballerina like appearance and long dark tail that always seemed to drag the brush even when she held it like a banner across her hips. Titania with her ferocious nature and quick wit. Her black and white starlight coat had long been the center of many of his dreams. However none of these beauties seemed to attract the same attention that Chelle had.

When the mare made her escape, Rougaru was almost glad to see her leave. As pretty as she was, she had become the source of many struggles for him and the recent transgressions of Faolain needed his attentions. However the wolf would not see it happen. Not so easily. With a flash of fangs he had followed after her, trailed in her wake as she raced further from Atlantis. The chocolate stallion had expected her to turn to Salem where Cain resided, expected her to make for the main island even where she might expect to hide among the throng of strangers in hopes of deterring his pursuit. When she dragged herself up from the salty ocean and onto the banks of the Cove, Rougaru is both annoyed and surprised.

He did not know what made her decide to seek Tinuvel but he had full intentions of returning her to Atlantis at least until Cain could come and collect her. He had hoped that his presence might be overlooked, but Solomon seemed to know. The tall ice king appeared with several mares in tow apparently determined to use strength in numbers to beat him back. Were the odds not so drastically against him, he might have found himself letting the wolf free enough to attempt to defeat the king for mere bragging rights. Almost.

He left her there. Cain had said he wanted her freedom after all, he had said nothing of returning her to the Desert with him. If the painted stallion really wanted the green eyed mare back, Rougaru would gladly point him towards the shores of Tinuvel.

It was mere days since his return from Tinuvel that found Cain on his doorstep. Small dark ears perk forward amid the cream and caramel tangles of his mane. So he was here to honor the alliance? Interesting.

Slowly he draws himself from Rae's side with a gentle nuzzle and navigates his broad form down the worn pathway that led to the beach. A broad smile curves across his ashen lips as the green eyed stallion gives his proud head a toss, nickering to Cain in greeting. "Cain… you are looking well. I assume your herd is also in such good health?" he asks coming to a halt a few feet from where the black and white stallion stood. A single earlobe tilts as the mahogany beast waits patiently, doing his best to appear polite and friendly. They were allies now, after all.
