I played em on the radio and had an LP or two back in the day. And even watched Gregg Jarrett on Fox. Didn't he work in this market or maybe Wichita? There are a few; maybe their parents or great grandparents didn't know how to spell.

2-300 years ago, County clerks couldn't spell well and that's why we have so many name variations in genealogy. In those days, peoples names were often recorded the way they sounded to a clerk when they were recorded in the Census or birth certificates.

You got something against Manilow, do ya? Maybe Freddie Mercury too? We've all learned some creatives do take getting used to. Amazing that some people in the media have a harder time than others. Names too Lynard.
