Re(6): Another new word for Jim

Just goes to show what few broadcasters are in here to see how little YOU actually know.

Have you googled to see what the 50th market is? Wichita is the smallest TV market I was in, my first TV market, 72nd Wichita. KC's only the 32nd market and as everyone knows a TV ADI market is way higher than the radio markets simply because of reach and the few TV sticks there are compared to radio ones on their bands.

The 50th market is New Orleans and maybe small radio stations do lost dog reporters but the TV market sure doesn't.

I admit for a little while reading Saturday funeral notices on my first radio job in a small Kansas college town... along with being a Saturday board op running NBC Monitor. But you're either being facetious or you are more ignorant of radio than you claim I am! I expect I had more viewers doing signoff TV news at KAKE than you had at KFDI, and you a sales slug there, weren't you? KFDI was a very respectable station if not just a little bit country for my taste.

Pretty pathetic when ya have to make up shit to bully somebody to make you feel better about yourself.

Correction, I never said I had trouble with my dad, he was gone too much when he flew for the Air Force but he was very kind and loving to me. I dinged both of his beloved sports cars when I was abt 16...he didn't punish me. His disappointment was apparent but I knew I'd hurt him.

We bury our parents ya know. How did your dad treat you, and how did you turn out for it? Did I ever mention that Johnny Carson joke that helped me be a better parent? "Be good to your children for they choose your nursing home." All boomers know today how true that was 40 years ago!

I know I reminded you what larry King said once, "I never learned anything when I was talking". And later he said, "When I left radio, I never looked back." Both truisms as well, but everyone starts out small and inexperienced. Some of us grow and develop, others choose not to because they've either reached their capabilities or they wanna stay close to their roots.

Theres nothing wrong with a kid taking over his dad's family farm where he grew up, and marrying his high school sweetheart. Most humans in history have done EXACTLY that, but until very recently in the US. Then again, Larry advanced and made history. I chose not to go to the network when the gettin was good because we didn't want to move to NY. By then I was out of radio, even out of reporting and had become a logistical specialist workign with TV satellites and liveshots. You have always intimated there's no more respectable job in the media than being in radio where you claim its so 'enjoyable', but Jim. You don't know first thing bout it. I see no evidence from your experience or your writing that you've ever been anything but on the periphery of the media.

Nothing wrong with that either, but you carry yourself like some kind of professional looking down on the pathetic Earthlings as if you think you're "Ming" out of Flash Gordon! (Similar to narcissist Trump.)

Well, gotta run, time to water the front yard now.
