PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

legends never die

Hardship. Bane had known her fair share, and her unfair share. It was hard to say really. How much of what had happened was deserved? How much of it was just, was right? She didn’t know. Well and truly, she didn’t know. Bane’s family tree was filled with thorns, with deadly fruits. Growing up as she had, with all the ghosts in her head… all of the demons in the background. All of it. Bane didn’t know much about the ghosts specifically, but she knew them broadly. That was enough.

A child born of the bachelors and the amazons, it was a recipe for disaster. Bane was a recipe for disaster, and she was a storm with skin. The storm… it lived inside her, and she lived within it. Beautiful but cold, that was how Bane would always be. It was how she had always been. Nothing would shake her or change her, and that was enough. It was enough for her.

As Bagheera makes her declaration, Bane cannot help but smile. Once, she would have put herself in the very same boat. Now it seemed that she was doing okay recruiting, bringing mares home. Bringing them here, keeping them safe. She could keep them all safe, if she tried hard enough. She had help. She would always have help keeping them safe. That was what the Peak was for, right? Her tail swished idly at her haunches, nodding once as she listened to the black mare speak.

I am but a warrior, Bane’s green eyes glimmered at the words, head canting softly to the side. “My mother was our general, once.” A far away look caught in the champagne mare’s eye. If only she’d known just how nearby Anath truly was-- what a sight it would be when she finally returned. “Our warriors are renowned for their prowess, I’m sore they’d be grateful to have you among their ranks.” Bane nodded once, more to herself than anyone else. “That is, of course, if you decide to stay.” It was true, the choice was still in Bagheera’s hands. Such was the beauty of their society. "I can show you around, if you want?" Right. Best to keep moving, after all.
