No pal, it's not that I think I'm better than most people but I'm not a sociopath with a fixation like you are year after year. All these insults you do. There's 3 active visitors here this midmorning. I'm one. You might be one. #Except for one Trumpster, nobody ventures in here to talk about the media. The've all moved away, probably bounced out becasue their salaries got too high over the years. And I bet every one of them were talented!
Why do you have a fixation whethere somone who writes to ME in THIS rinkydink room? I get well over a couple dozen posts a day on a variety of discussion issues. Just not in here.
Nobody writes to you in here either. I'm the guy getting doxxed in here and only by you. It's ONLY been you. Nobody does that who has an elememnt of brains or sanity or something more positive to live for.
Forty years ago, I computed my months jocking in doodah and in the military, and I'd computed I'd played 20,000 records, over and over and of them <500 different songs. Since that time, my iTunes has played that many but more variety and of ones I liked, not ones that record companies hyped for bouncy teen girls. And surely, since radio news indeed is 50 percent rip and read I didn't get my journalism degree to do that, I got it to do TV in field reporting. Radio was just my starter job and I was out of it not long after graduating. At that time, Wichita was one of the best markets...the stations were locally owned, made good money and were big enough to generate news but not so big as to just have reporters chasing ghetto shootings.
Being paid to go take tours of stuff most people found fascinating. I did. You're not the most insane guy I ever met, there was serial killer Bob Berdella who happened to call me, complaining that the warden took away his fax machine... Klansleader David Duke, some moonies, a couple presidential candidates, a pope up close, a few film and musicians, some really bad storms, a couple race riots, a plane crash, and my favorite stuff, military and airplane hardware.
I really did have a good time but short of spending 11 minutes at the edge of space, a Peggy Lee song came to me once, she sang "Is that all there is?"
I was smart enough to make an even better living using my communications, accounting and marketing school skills writing business software and running company computers because it paid better and older, expensive guys usually get pushed out of TV eventually.
NO, I aint a brain surgeon but I've seen em, aint a high stress air traffic controller, but I've seen em, didn't fly bombers, launch nuclear missiles or workin a nuclear power plant. But I've seen em up close.
You may think I'm a radio failure but WTF do you know about it, seriously? A part time sales slug working at his kitchen table. Anybody whos worked in TV news knows what fun it is abt half the time on the job, even when getting called out of bed for some disaster nearby.
I'm not bragging, I'm only telling you that you're a fucking, jealous stalker, Jimbo. It's not that you've got a lifelong grudge with me, you dont' even KNOW me but maybe having seen me on the telly when you were back home visiting your family out on west 54! I had plenty of fun, put food on the table and managed to give my kids a free ride at college. I'm still havin fun but I do find you, and your errant mind a curiousity. I have my share of stories to tell that keep people's interest!
I used to joke in here when there WERE people in here, saying anybody who retorts "Get a Life" should pay a fifty dollar fine every time they wrote that tritism in here.
